Giclee Prints
What is a “gicleed” print?
It is rather expensive way of transferring a photo of an original painting to another surface – from paper to canvas. Canvas has been treated with a special surface so that one can transfer the image of an original painting to canvas. John prefers and uses only canvas to giclee his paintings on to. This is to more properly represent his paintings on canvas. If done properly by an experienced giclee company- one has a hard time determining if the subject is an original or a print.
All John’s prints are framed in a special gold frame and with a hanging wire. All prints are edition numbered (except for minis) and a Certificate of Authenticity is issued with each and every print sold.
Please note: Never place painting in direct sunlight. For the sun will bleach the color.
